Brochure#ProtezioneCivile (translated: Civil Protection) is an APP for smartphones and tablets, customized for each city or town, available on major stores and free for all citizens.

What is the advantage?
Users who will download the app of a specific municipality where they reside or travel for business or leisure, will not have to download the app for each place they visit.
Through the #Protezione Civile Italia network, users will automatically receive notifications of weather warnings of whichever place they are visiting, thanks to the location tracker, without having to download another APP.
This will give the user emergency information and an action plan wherever they are.

What is the cost for citizens and/or tourists?
The APP is free for citizens and tourists.
Where can I change the weather warnings?
The weather warnings will be modified through the dedicated management portal by logging in with a password, directly from a smartphone or tablet or through a dedicated smartwatch.
How will citizens be informed?
Citizens and other users will receive a notification which will appear on the screen of their device. By clicking on the notification, the APP with the relevant evacuation plan and other information, including that shared by other citizens, will open.
How can I share photos and videos?
Just open your favourite social (facebook, google+, twitter) and download photos and videos with the hashtag of the name of the APP, e.g. #ProtezioneCivile.
How can I keep the information up-to-date?
All documents (evacuation plans, maps, reports) will automatically update and, even off-line, you will be able to see the most recent information that the device will have downloaded.
Can the APP automatically send a text message to citizens?
The APP can, at any time, interface with services that have already been activated and send automatic texts - depending on the supplier of such service. The messages sent to the users can be personalised.
But if I do not have an internet connection, how can I see documents relating to the evacuation plan?
After the initial download, all the emergency documents will be available even with no internet connection.
